A blue and white batik fabric with a modern design twist on traditional Nigerian batik. Great for clothing, accessories and any craft projects you have on the drawing board! This fabric is hand-drawn and hand-dyed in Nigeria and consists of traditional Yoruba symbols each with a name and story. The stories are often words of advice from the elders, or a means of documenting social, economic and environmental conditions. The fabric is therefore like a piece of Yoruba art. A tape measure with units shown in inches, is shown in the last image to give you an idea of the scale of the patterns. This is a 4.8 yard bundle, which gives you a continuous length of 2.4 yards of fabric, approximately 2.2 metres.
