A.N. Sachsen Violin Bow

$43.8 $84.1
click picture to enlarge Round-section pernambuco bow fully mounted in sterling silver, sterling silver winding, ebony frog with a mother-of-pearl slide and eyes, and a three-piece ebony and silver button. We don't have a provenance on this bow; our guess is mid-20th century, possibly German. Sachsen can be an alternate spelling for Saxon or Saxony, which would indicate an area of Germany known for stringed instrument and bow making. It is an exquisitely made bow in great condition, and would be perfect for the player who favors a lighter stick. Weight fully haired 56.5 grams.
