The pernambuco wood is strong and plays with nice grab in the stick. I love it. This bow is firm and well made. If it was stamped, then it would sell for a much higher price. The frog is mounted in nickel, has single mother-of-pearl eyes, and a slide made from the same material. There are some unique black and grey hues in the pearl slide and eyes. The bone tip has been replaced and the silver winding was beyond saving so that was replaced too, along with a new leather thumb grip. This bow is ready for another 90 years. Another German workshop bow that was not made by a novice. I like the measured thickness of the stick – streamlined, nickel fittings, and sweet strength. This is a very nice older German bow. Weight fully haired 59.8 grams.
