The Glendronach Distillery has unveiled The Master’s Anthology, a new collection of Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskies that captures the breadth and depth of sherry cask maturation. An expression met with effusive acceptance by fans of GlenDronach, Ode to the Dark plays into the strengths the distillery has long held, namely rich sherry influence. This is the richest expression in Glendronach’s Masters Anthology. It is fully matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, presenting powerful notes of blackberry brambles and freshly ground coffee, giving way to fruit-and-nut chocolate.
