Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish is created with whiskey from just five distilleries. Among them, the Dufftown distillery and the Port Dundas distillery (now silent). The new expression has aged in first-fill bourbon barrels, and has been refined for 6 months in rye (rye whiskey) barrels. To create it, Beveridge has been inspired by the time he spent in Kentucky blending bourbon and rye during the 90s. The Master Blender says it is a rich and smooth whiskey, with the intense notes of honey and vanilla that are associated with Johnnie Walker Black Label.
